PURPOSE: An apparatus and a system for detecting a water leakage are provided to obtain accurate information for water leakage detection and to reduce construction costs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting a water leakage comprises a sensor part(110) and a detection part(120). The sensor part is in contact with a water pipeline(10) and measures vibrations and sounds in the water pipeline. The detection part sets measurement conditions and detects the volume of minimum vibration sound measured from the sensor part. When the volume of the minimum vibration sound exceeds a pre-set reference value, the detection part transmits a trigger event to notify the outside.
