PURPOSE: A data communication method of a portable terminal and system thereof are provided to transmit various multimedia data to a user through web cam communication. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(100) is connected to a device 1(200) in a web cam mode. The device 1 and a device 2(300) perform web cam communication. The portable terminal photographs a specific subject through a camera module. The portable terminal transmits photographing data to the device 1. The device 1 transmits photographing data to the device 2. The portable terminal senses the change of mode.
