<p>A plurality of small packages (102,202), each for approximately a day's supply of tampons, are provided in an outer carrier box (104). The tampons (110) in the small packages may be provided in a single row, and may be individually adhered to the bottom of the package. Each small package (202) may be tapered. The individual package (202) may be formed with an inner box (300) covered by an outer sleeve (400) movable, like a flap, from the inner box to permit ready access to the contents of the inner box. A closure (420) may be specifically configured for a tapered end of a tapered package. If desired, a feedback feature, such as an auditory or tactile cue, may be provided by the closure to cue the user that the closure is securely closing the package.
