PURPOSE: A polycrystalline silicon carbide material having ferromagnetic properties and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to expand the application of an electromagnetic material by adding an iron and an iron compound into silicon carbide. CONSTITUTION: In a polycrystalline silicon carbide material having ferromagnetic properties and a manufacturing method thereof, a silicon carbide powder is mixed with one of an iron and iron compound. Uniform compound is obtained by adding carbon into the selective additives. The mixture is plasticized under inert atmosphere. A molding product is manufactured by using the mixture and is heated-treated.
