An Agent Based Condition Monitoring System

A computer based conditioning monitoring system for monitoring at least one condition data source 12, preferably an agent based monitoring system 10. The system is configured to determine condition data of interest to a user and build a user profile based on the condition data of interest, detect when additional condition data sources are added; and preferably automatically access or make available condition information from the data sources; and based on the user profile present to the user relevant data from the condition data sources. Preferably the agent based monitoring system includes at least three types of agent 14 such as data managers 18, service managers 20 and user assistants 22. Data warehouses 16 may be used to store data produced by sensors or physical hardware or manual input data. Preferably a user interface assists the user to create their profile which will define what data sources, analysis is relevant to them.
