PURPOSE: A motor-operated moving apparatus for the old or the weak is provided to sense the will of forward or backward movement of the old by a sliding action of a grip portion. CONSTITUTION: A motor-operated moving apparatus for the old or the weak comprises: a body frame(110); a battery prepared in the body frame; an electric motor(120) driven by the battery; a wheel(130) rotating according to the drive of the electric motor; a handle(140) prepared in the upper side of the body frame; and a controller prepared in order to control the electric motor. The handle includes: a handle body fixed to the body frame; a grip portion which can slide; an elastic member which elastically supports the grip portion; and a grip portion sensor sensing the location of the grip portion.
