PURPOSE: A manual air conditioner for vehicles and a control method thereof are provided to reduce unnecessary power consumption in a compressor of an air conditioning system. CONSTITUTION: A manual air conditioner for vehicles comprises a case for an air conditioner, a blower, an evaporator, a cool air passage, a hot air passage, a heater core, a compressor(20), a temperature control door(14), a temperature adjusting unit(47), and a micro computer(30). The blower inhales air to the inside of the case for the air conditioner. The evaporator exchanges heat between the refrigerant and the air. The cool air passage and the hot air passage are formed on the lower part of the evaporator. The heater core heats air. The temperature control door is installed between the cool air passage and the hot air passage. |
