PURPOSE: A method of establishing a target slip rate for an ABS is provided to optimize an established target slip rate after monitoring wheel slip and wheel deceleration when reaching target slip using a diagram in ABS brake operation. CONSTITUTION: A method of establishing a target slip rate for an ABS is as follows. In ABS brake operation, a sensor signal is received and processed, the vehicle speed of a vehicle in a brake state is calculated to establish a target slip rate. In current brake state, actual wheel slip rate is calculated. The established target slip rate is monitored. According to the monitored state, the target slip rate is continuously varied and a new target slip rate is established(S30). The new target slip rate and actual wheel slip rate are used to obtain the difference between them. Brake moment to be increased/decreased depending on the obtained difference is calculated. Brake fluid pressure corresponding to the calculated brake moment is generated to perform a brake operation. |
