PURPOSE: Device and method of preventing the forging/falsifying of black-box data are provided to remove the need for the change and re-installation of the hardware or software of a black-box. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing the forging/falsifying of black-box data comprises an information storage module(400) and a forging/falsifying preventing module(200). The information storage module stores driving information data collected by a black-box. The forging/falsifying preventing module generates data for determining forging/falsifying by encrypting the driving information data using a predetermined encryption mechanism. The forging/falsifying preventing module stores the forging/falsifying determining data. The forging/falsifying preventing module encrypts in real time, in a given cycle or by user's request or external shock. The forging/falsifying preventing module stores the encrypted driving information data in the information storage module or a separate memory.
