METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RANDOM ACCESS IN SMALL CELL OF 3GPP LTE-ADVANCED SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and system for random access in a small cell of a 3GPP LTE-advanced system are provided to fixedly allocate a preamble index to a mobile station entering a small cell. CONSTITUTION: A small scale base station periodically transfers a broadcast message to a mobile station(S310), and the broadcast message includes an available preamble index set. The mobile station is placed in the small cell. The small scale base station transfers the random access response to the mobile station by using a preamble index included in the random access(S330). The base station confirms whether or not the random access response is transmitted by using the preamble index(S340).
