PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for deciding tracking point in an image are provided to maintain secure tracking in a disturbance like a clutter. CONSTITUTION: A first weight providing unit(140) applies a correlated value between the distance from a central pixel to a first position and the central pixel to a second position as a first weight value about a first pixel. A similarity calculation unit(110) calculates the similarity between a reference template and an input template by comparing pixels in the same position. A second weight value providing unit(150) applies a third distance value and a fourth distance value as a second weight value of the input template. |
