PURPOSE: Transmission diversity schemes in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system are provided to efficiently perform transmission diversity in an OFDM system. CONSTITUTION: A layer mapping device(315) maps plural modulation symbols to at least one layer, and a precoder(320) performs transmission diversity to the layer. The output of the precoder is obtained by at least one of a first mathematical formula, a second mathematical fomula and an 8TxD mathematical formula. The layer mapper is one of a second-layer mapper, a 4-layer mapper, a 6-layer mapper, an 8-layer mapper and a 16-layer mapper. |
