PURPOSE: A device and a method of selective encryption of multimedia data, a multimedia data authentication and a recording medium thereof are provided to guarantee confidentiality and integrity of large amount of multimedia data and improve encryption efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A movement estimating unit(220) estimates movement per block of a frame of multimedia data and generated movement vector. A variable length encryption unit(230) encrypts the movement vector. If a macro block is I-block, a selective encryption unit(240) encrypts the macro block through an AES(Advanced Encryption Standard)-CCM(Counter with CBC(Chaining Block Cipher)-MAC(Message Authentication Code)) algorithm. If the variable length encryption is completed until the last macro block and a corresponding frame is I-frame, the selective encryption unit encrypts the corresponding frame through the AES-CCM algorithm.
