The powder (1 g) was hydrogenated in a pressure vessel at 400[deg]C and 300 bar for 24 hours, giving a product comprising lithium borohydride (LiBH 4) and magnesium hydride (MgH 2) in 2:1 molar ratio. The product released hydrogen rapidly and almost completely when heated to 360[deg]C. The hydrogen storage capacity was 10 wt.%.
