PURPOSE: A character inputting apparatus of a mobile device and character inputting method using the same are provided to input a plurality of characters to one multifunctional key. CONSTITUTION: A controller(600) detects an input coordinate according to the input of a touch panel. In case the detected input coordinate is inputted to a multi-key unit, the controller detects the direction of a moving coordinate according to the moving coordinate input to the touch panel of a user. The controller detects a target coordinate in a first direction or a second direction. The controller displays a character, which is matched with the target coordinate, on an LCD panel. |
