A device for securing an article to an apertured support comprises an annular ring 10 having a plurality of U shaped flexible fingers 14, one finger being cut short to provide a locking member 34 which overlies part of the surface of the support when the ring is inserted in the aperture therein and rotated, a second finger being bent inwardly and having a V shaped portion 28 to provide a second locking member which engages in a slot provided in the inner edge of the support aperture. Alternatively the portion 28 comprises an inclined member which snap engages in a slot in the aperture edge. The device is secured to the flanged end of a tubular lamp socket by bending over and clinching the flanged end on extensions provided on the base of the device. |
