#CMT# #/CMT# The apparatus (10) has a drainage valve (20) located in a brewing water path (30) between a brewing water container (40) and a brewing unit (50) and in a drainage water path (31) between the brewing unit and an outlet (60) of the apparatus. The brewing path is released and the drainage path is blocked in a brewing position (BS) of the valve. A decalcification position (ES) in which the brewing path is blocked and a decalcification liquid path (32) is produced between the container and the outlet via the valve by a drainage position (DS) of the valve. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Brewing apparatus for a coffee machine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The drainage valve is designed so that the brewing liquid path to the brewing unit or to a brewing chamber of the brewing unit is blocked and the decalcification path is produced between the brewing liquid container and the outlet via the drainage valve in the decalcification position, thus ensuring that no decalcification unit can enter into the brewing chamber and reach plastic parts of the brewing apparatus, and hence significantly increasing lifetime of the apparatus.
