PURPOSE: A mixture composition containing red ginseng, Arimoniae Herba, glumate extract, and sesame oil is provided to efficiently increase activities of alcohol hydrolyase and acetealdehyde lysis enzyme. CONSTITUTION: A composition for relieving hangover contains red ginseng, Arimoniae Herba, glumate extract, and sesame oil as active ingredients in a weight ratio of 0.5-2:0.5-2:0.5-2:0.5-2. A soft capsule formulation contains the composition for relieving hangover. The red ginseng extract is isolated using water, anhydrous or hydrous alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, mixture solvent of low alcohol and water, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butyl acetate, or 1,3-butylene glycol.
