PURPOSE: A mobile device and a method for simulating article arrangement thereof are provided to synthesize a product image with a background image and display the synthesized image so that a user may easily determine whether to purchaser the product. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(11) receives a product image, and a camera unit(12) photographs the image of the background at which the product is arranged. A display unit(13) displays the product image and the background image. A control unit extracts the attribute information of at least one object included in the background image, adjusts the product image based on the attribute information, synthesizes the product image with the background image, and displays the synthesized image.
