PURPOSE: A black box for a vehicle using a modem is provided to cost-efficiently figure out the location of an accident by confirming the position of a modem. CONSTITUTION: A black box(100) for a vehicle using a modem comprises a camera module(110), an acceleration sensor(130), a memory(150), a modem(170), and an RF communication unit(190). The camera module photographs two or more directional images. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration changes of the x, y, and z-axis directions of a vehicle. The memory stores the images obtained from the camera module. The modem sends a message about an accident to a pre-set call center. The RF communication unit converts the message into an RF signal and wirelessly the RF signal to a pre-set call number.
