PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus capable of substantially shortening a time for an image formation process. SOLUTION: This medical image diagnostic apparatus includes a collection means, a preprocessing means and a plurality of reconstruction means. A dividing means divides data collected by the collection means into two or more partial data. A distribution means distributes two or more partial projection data, which are generated by the preprocessing means on the basis of the two or more partial data acquired by the division, to the plurality of reconstruction means. The reconstruction means reconstruct two or more partial images on the basis of the two or more distributed partial projection data. The dividing means divides the data into the two or more partial data in such a manner as providing the divided portions of the data collected by the collection means with predetermined overlap areas.
