METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING SERIAL NUMBER OF SECURITY PAPER MONEY

PURPOSE: A serial number recognition method of securities using a decision-making function is provided to reduce memory usability and to supply excellent variable selectivity through a decision-making function. CONSTITUTION: An image of securities is scanned to an image sensor(a). The image of a serial number area is extracted from the whole image(b). Each character within the image of the serial number area is extracted. The character revises a slope and reconfigures the minimum adjacency square. A pattern vector is generated from the character according to a pixel distribution(c). The pattern vector uses the will decision function(d).
