<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water treatment apparatus which can easily improve safety, when being incorporated into a vessel transporting a petroleum-based liquid cargo. <P>SOLUTION: Water seal parts 12, 13 are arranged between a ballast tank 4 and a water treatment part. Even in the case where a petroleum-based gas is contained in the ballast tank 4, when ballast water treatment is stopped, by cutting-off ventilation between a flow passage on the side of an energization part in the water treatment part 11 and a flow passage on the side of the ballast tank 4, when the ballast water treatment is started once more, the contact between the gas in the ballast water and the energization part in the water treatment part 11 can be securely prevented. Further, the effect can be easily achieved between the water treatment part 11 and the ballast bank 4 only by arranging the water seal parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
