PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole capable of opening and closing a hole (manhole) without using tools and preventing from being baked even if it is applied as a boiler such as an exhausted heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). SOLUTION: An opening and closing device 1 of a manhole which opens and closes a hole 2 arranged on a floor board 5 is provided with a platy cover body 3 having approximately circular shape in plan view which is stored inside of the hole 2 for clogging up the hole 2 and a receiving frame 4 for receiving the cover body 3. The cover body 3 is provided with a claw 8 which projects outward at a position corresponding to a notched part 7 of the hole 2 and the receiving frame 4 is provided with an upper receiving frame 14 which is fixed at the upper face 13 of the floor board 5 so as to cover one circumferential upward end of the notched part 7 and a lower receiving frame 16 which is fixed at the lower face of the floor board 5 so as to cover the whole of downward of the notched part 7 and a gap for storing the claw 8 is arranged in between the upper part of the receiving frame 14 and the lower part of the receiving frame 16.
