PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator buffer in a simple structure, which suppresses the deterioration of a foam buffer, reduces labor for check and replacement, while reducing running costs. SOLUTION: A car buffer 8 includes a buffer body 11 and a cover 12 covering the buffer body 11. The buffer body 11 includes a base 13 fixed to the bottom of a pit, and a foam buffer 14 fixed to the base 13. The foam buffer 14 is made of urethane foam and is compressed by collision with a car 6.
