PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a hoisting machine allowing easy determination of the service life of a brake of the hoisting machine. SOLUTION: A time setting part 213 sets time till a braking release of the brake 7 after starting a double-winding induction motor 6 and time till stopping of the double-winding induction motor 6 after starting braking of the brake 7 according to time till the generation of torque after starting the double-winding induction motor 6. A time changing part 214 detects either one of 50 Hz and 60 Hz of a power supply frequency of power supply 3 and changes at least one of the time till the braking release of the brake 7 after starting the double-winding induction motor 6 and the time till stopping of the double-winding induction motor 6 after stopping driving of the brake 7 according to the power supply frequency of the power supply 3.
