PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate luminance of a quantum dot inorganic EL element 1 by a simpler method without controlling an amplitude or the like of an alternating voltage. SOLUTION: An inorganic EL light emission system includes: a light emission layer 11 including quantum dots; a pair of electrodes 16 and 17 disposed on both sides of the light emission layer 11; the quantum dot inorganic EL element 1 emitting light around the time when the alternating voltage becomes zero by application of the alternating voltage, which has the dimension and polarity varying periodically along with the time, between the electrodes 16 and 17; a power supply 2 for applying the alternating voltage to the quantum dot inorganic EL element 1; and a drive waveform control device 3 for controlling the waveform of the alternating voltage. The drive waveform control device 3 controls a period from the time when the alternating voltage becomes a maximum and minimum value to the time when it becomes zero for regulating luminance of the quantum dot inorganic EL element 1.
