PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a device to be measured, on the occasion of probing. SOLUTION: A signal acquisition system includes a signal acquisition probe having a probe-chip circuit connected to a resistive-center-conductor signal cable. The resistive-center-conductor signal cable of the signal acquisition probe is connected to a compensation system provided in a signal processing apparatus, through an input node and an input circuit in the signal processing apparatus. The signal acquisition probe and the signal processing apparatus have mismatched time constants at the input node, with the compensation system providing pole-zero pairs for maintaining flatness over the frequency bandwidth of the signal acquisition system.
