Provided are a method and apparatus for transmitting an uplink control signal in a wireless communication system. A terminal spreads a third control signal using either a reference signal sequence of a first control signal or a reference signal sequence of a second control signal, thereby multiplexing the third control signal to the first and second control signals. Thus, the payload of a control channel can be increased.
