<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which varies a lighting ratio of each light source while suppressing an influence of light leakage between light sources in a backlight source on an effect of black insertion (the effect for preventing motion blurs or multiple contours in moving image display). <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, An LED light source group L7 located in the center among LED light source groups L1 to L12 and having the lowest lighting ratio is taken as a reference light source, and lighting ratios of LED light source groups L1 to L6 preceding the LED light source group L7 in the lighting sequence, out of LED light source groups L1 to L6, and L8 to L12 having higher lighting ratios than that of the LED light source group L7, are varied by delaying the end time point of a lighting period in intermittent lighting at the same lighting ratio as the LED light source group L7, and lighting ratios of LED light source groups L8 to L12 following the LED light source group L7 in the lighting sequence are varied by accelerating the start time point of the lighting period in intermittent lighting at the same lighting ratio as the LED light source group L7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
