<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a light source device having a condensed type discharge lamp built in. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 1 is provided with a device body 4 having a condensed type discharge lamp 44 and a ballast 38 built-in, and outputs light from a base 6 installed in the device body 4. The light source device has an AC/DC power source adapter 16 to supply power to the ballast 38 at the outside of the device body 4, and has a light source base board 24 as a partition plate to partition the inside of the device body 4 into an electric component housing chamber 21 and an optical system housing chamber 22. In the electric component housing chamber 21, the ballast 38 and a lighting control circuit board 34 of the condensed type discharge lamp 44 are arranged superposed vertically, and in the optical system housing chamber 22, the base 6 and the condensed type discharge lamp 44 are arranged on a straight line K parallel to the light source base board 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
