IMAGE READER, IMAGE CORRECTION DEVICE, AND IMAGE CORRECTION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both reduction in operation processing amount in stray light correction and improvement in deteriorated granularity quality of images. SOLUTION: A filter C of a stray light correction circuit 50 performs flare correction operation for each block with pixels in a macro area being the subject for each focusing pixel on each main scanning line of input scan data. A filter B2 performs flare correction operation with pixels in a micro area against pixels in the micro area being the subject. A filter B1 performs MTF correction operation with pixels in the micro area of data subjected to flare correction in the macro area being the subject when the focusing pixel is decided to be an edge portion. A superposition circuit 506 superposes flare correction results of the macro area by a filter C and flare correction results of the micro area by the filter B2 or MTF correction results of the micro area by the filter B1 so as to output them as correction data of the input scan data.
