PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system for more surely suppressing the generation of slime, scale or the like and the corrosion of a piping system or the like. SOLUTION: The water treatment system is provided with: a cooling tower 110 having a storage part 116 storing circulation water W110; a circulation water line L110 circulating the circulation water W110; raw water supply circulation means 141, 152; softening water supply circulation means 141, 144; a silica concentration measurement device 135; a calcium hardness measurement device 134; calcium hardness required value set means 187, 182, 183 setting the required value of calcium hardness as the calcium hardness required for obtaining corrosion inhibition effect based on the concentration of silica in the circulation water W110; and a flow rate control means 185 controlling the flow rate of the raw water supply W121 and/or the flow rate of the softening water supply so that the measured calcium hardness reaches the value which is equal to or larger than the calcium hardness required value in the case the measured calcium hardness is less than the calcium hardness required value.
