PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, which has improved changes in charging characteristics and sensitivity characteristics with temperature or humidity when a titanyl phthalocyanine pigment is used, and is free of generation of image defects such as an environmental memory phenomenon. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating substance and a charge transporting substance on a conductive support, wherein the charge generating substance contains an adduct of titanyl phthalocyanine and a diol compound having a hydroxyl group in each of adjoining two carbon atoms, and the charge transporting substance contains a compound expressed by a general formula (4). In the formula (4), R<SB>11</SB>and R<SB>12</SB>each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R<SB>13</SB>, R<SB>14</SB>and R<SB>15</SB>each independently represent a halogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy or substituted or unsubstituted aryl; R<SB>11</SB>and R<SB>12</SB>may be bonded to form a cyclic structure; p represents an integer of 0 to 4; and q and r1 each represent an integer of 0 to 5.
