PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an image forming apparatus by eliminating the need for a pressure roller for a fixing section and by using a mechanism for supporting a transfer section and a mechanism for supporting the fixing section, both of which are incorporated as a common mechanism. SOLUTION: An image fixing unit 200 includes: the transfer section 80 having a conveyance belt 11 and a transfer roller 29 and used for transferring an image to a printing medium 300; the fixing section 90 incorporating a fixing roller 16 and a roller 12 opposite to the fixing roller, and used to fix the image transferred to the printing medium by the transfer section. In the image fixing unit 200, the conveyance belt of the transfer section is formed integrally either with the fixing roller or the roller opposite to the fixing roller, which are incorporated by the fixing part, so as to freely rotate.
