PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure and a shock absorber regulating quick displacement and allowing slow displacement on the other hand, and reducing a burden of control. SOLUTION: This device includes a fixed vessel 10, a supported body 20 at least of which part is held in the vessel 10, a supporting body 30 supporting the supported body 20 with a gap to an internal wall surface 10a of the vessel 10, and a dilatant fluid 40 which is stored in the vessel 10 and in which at least a part of the supported body 20 held in the vessel 10 is dipped.
