PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater infiltration system capable of increasing the quantity of rainwater infiltrated into the ground from a rainwater infiltration basin, without making construction costs so high and without increasing the number of installed rainwater infiltration basins, in comparison with a conventional rainwater infiltration system. SOLUTION: A lower end of a downpipe body portion 21 of a downpipe 2a is connected to the rainwater infiltration basin 3a; and a lower outflow port 21a of a funnel is provided at the upper end of the downpipe body portion 21. In a rainfall, a section from the inside of the rainwater infiltration basin 3a to the lower outflow port 21a of the downpipe body portion 21 is put into the state of being filled with water; and the rainwater overflowing from the lower outflow port 21a is discharged from a branch downpipe portion 22 which is connected to the lower outflow port 21a.
