PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise efficiency of processing when a plurality of commands are input in an image forming apparatus that has a plurality of calculation means. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus controlled by a plurality of cores, a print job is obtained, and a time taken to generate on an image to be output is predicted for each number of cores. The number of cores operated to generate image information is determined so that time required to generate information on an image of one page is equal to or shorter than the time required for formation output of the image of one page.
