The method involves detecting the displacements (31,32) of a vehicle (15) by the objects (5,6) by a sensor unit after the introduction of the parking procedure. One of the displacements is corrected after the fulfillment of predetermined correction criteria of a parking orbit (30). An independent claim is also included for a parking assistance system with a control unit.
