Production of a turbine blade comprises placing a covering strip (24) on a peripheral surface (13) forming an insertion connection, forming a groove (23) in the peripheral surface. The covering strip has an insertion side (26) which is inserted into the groove. An independent claim is also included for a turbine blade produced by the above process.
