<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold 2 capable of obtaining a high-quality tire. <P>SOLUTION: The mold 2 includes a plurality of segments 4 and a side plate 6 located inside in the radial direction in each segment 4. Each segment 4 has a parting plane 12 facing the side plate 6, and the parting plane 12 has a slope 22 inclined from the inside toward the outside in the axial direction and outward in the radial direction. The side plate 6 has a movable ring 30 in contact with the parting plane 12 and an actuator 32 capable of urging the movable ring 30 inwardly in the axial direction. The movable ring 30 has a tapered surface 48 corresponding to the slope 22. When the segment 4 is separated from the side plate 6, the movable ring 30 moves inwardly in the axial direction. When the segment 4 approaches the side plate 6 and the slope 22 comes in contact with the tapered surface 48, the movable ring 30 moves outwardly in the axial direction while the tapered surface 48 slides on the slope 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
