<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress life-shortening of an observation mechanism using evanescent light even in an incubator and to make easy to adjust a temperature/humidity environment in the incubator. <P>SOLUTION: The observation mechanism includes a vessel laying part which is disposed in the incubator and to which a light refraction member is attached under a sealed condition at a site where a vessel containing a cell to be observed is laid; a sealed space partition part which partitions a sealed space below the vessel laying part; an irradiation part which irradiates light introduced into the incubator through a light guide member from a light source outside the incubator as excitation light; a fixture part provided at the sealed space partition part under a sealed condition and fixing the irradiation part so that the excitation light irradiated from the irradiation part is totally reflected between the light refraction member and the vessel; and an image part disposed in the sealed space and imaging fluorescence of a cell due to evanescent light caused by the total reflection of the excitation light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
