PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device which reduces collision sound produced when an actuator collides with a paper discharge device body. SOLUTION: This actuator 210 is oscillatably supported by a shifter 200 between a standby position for closing the shifter 200 and an open position located at the upper surface of paper discharged from the shifter 200 while being pushed by the distal end of the paper discharged from the shifter 200. The actuator 210 includes a rear end curl detecting part 211 opposed to the rear end of the paper stacked on a paper discharge tray 91 at the standby position. When the rear end part of the uppermost paper on the paper discharge tray 91 curls, the rear end curl detecting part 211 abuts on the rear end of the uppermost paper on the paper discharge tray 91 and oscillates from the standby position to the open position side. A flexible sheet 300 is stuck to a portion opposed to the actuator 210 on a wall surface formed on the lower side of the shifter 200 while a gap is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
