PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an agent for use in the I-type allergy (for example, bronchial allergy, pollen allergy, gastrointestinal allergy, allergic nasitis, and allergic dermatitis) which has extremely high predisposition among the allergies as is a compound that suppresses especially the isolation of histamine, thus makes it possible to suppress the I-type allergy, is usable as a raw material for foods and drinks, and is usually ingestible.

SOLUTION: The anti-I type allergy agent includes as an effective component a hop bitterness component (for example, a compound expressed by formula (1)) (wherein, R1is a 1-6C alkyl group).
