<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a complex oxide catalyst having excellent catalytic activity when used in a vapor-phase catalytic oxidation reaction, particularly, when used for producing unsaturated aldehyde and unsaturated carboxylic acid. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the complex oxide catalyst comprises the steps of: preparing aqueous slurry by mixing a complex oxide containing molybdenum and cobalt with an acid and water; drying the aqueous slurry; and calcining the resulting dried solid. The complex oxide is preferable, which is obtained by mixing the molybdenum- and cobalt-containing complex oxide catalyst, which is used in the vapor-phase catalytic oxidation reaction, with an aqueous extracting solution, which is obtained by dissolving at least one of ammonia and an organic base in water, to extract molybdenum and cobalt in the aqueous phase, drying the aqueous phase and calcining the extracted molybdenum and cobalt in an atmosphere of an oxidizing gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
