PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a surface layer, which is cured uniformly and has stable hardness and durability, on the surface of a photosensitive layer thereof. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor having the photosensitive layer and the surface layer at the least on an electroconductive support in this order includes a step of irradiating the surface layer, which includes a curable substance to be cured by irradiation of an active energy ray, with the active energy ray having the width X of 2 mm≤X≤20 mm as that of irradiation light to cure the curable substance.
