PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein there is restriction on design for dimensions of lithium thickness and an opening sealing plate in order not to cause internal short circuit even though volume of a negative electrode is reduced by discharge and volume of a positive electrode is increased. SOLUTION: In a coin-shaped battery wherein a power generation element oppositely preparing the positive electrode 10 and the negative electrode 11 made of lithium metal via a separator 12 is stored in a battery case 13 together with an electrolyte and the opening sealing plate 14 conducted to the negative electrode 11 is sealed on an opening of the battery case 13 via a gasket 15, an insulation section 16 for blocking conduction between the positive electrode 10 and the opening sealing plate 14 is arranged between an outer periphery of the positive electrode 10 and the opening sealing plate 14 at the time of expansion of the positive electrode 10 caused by discharge.
