PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge protection device that protects a load device in a low voltage distribution system from surge of direct lightning or nearby lightning. SOLUTION: There is provided a surge protection device 5 installed for each phase. A wiring circuit breaker 4 of single pole is used between each surge protection device and a power supply system. The surge protection device 5 is a discharge tube type surge protection device, a zinc oxide element type surge protection device, or a combination of a discharge tube and zinc oxide element.
