GRAPPLE DEVICE AND HYDRAULIC SHOVEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grapple device which can pull out a root remaining after felling by itself without imposing burden on the rotary mechanism of a frame to facilitate pulling-out work and also facilitate conveyance of the pulled-out root remaining after felling so as to improve working efficiency. SOLUTION: The grapple device includes: a bracket 10 which is supported on the tip end of an arm installed on a wheel such as a hydraulic shovel capable of traveling so as to be oscillated while pivoted around an oscillating axis 6; a frame 12 rotationally installed on the bracket 10 via a rotary mechanism 11; and a pair of gripping members 13 openably set to the frame 12 so as to grip timbers. A catching body 20 to be caught on the roots remaining in the ground after felling a standing tree is projected to the side of the wheel of the bracket 10. The catching body 20 includes: a base member 22 fixed to a base plate 21 of the bracket 10 and projected, and an abutting member 24 set upright on the upper side of the base member 22 and having a concave-curve saw blade-like edge surface 23 capable of getting in contact with the root R remaining after felling.
