PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load management device for reducing power consumption in processing requests in parallel. SOLUTION: The load management device 510 which manages three data centers mutually connected by a network 508 includes an electricity rate table 586 which stores an electricity rate required for operation of each data center. The load management device 510 further includes an electricity rate routing unit 590 which refers to the electricity rate table 586 to determine whether a resource in operating state which is included in a data center higher in electricity rate can be substituted by a resource in power-saving state which is included in a data center lower in electricity rate; and a state setting unit 540 which sets, when the routing unit 590 makes an affirmative determination, the operating resource to the power-saving state, and sets the resource in power-saving state to the operating state.
